Their questioning and new understanding is an amazing thing to be a part of. I think of it as the \"scientific mind\". Some of my experience: I have babysat since I was about 12 years old and once taken on the nanny role for 4 months looking after my 2 nieces, aged then at 1 and 5 years. Along with that, I have volunteer experience in grade primary and 1 classrooms. In the classrooms I would have jobs as simple as working the copy machine, or handing out class work, and even doing one-on-one assessments. I had some opportunity to do story time with the students, set up work stations, give instructions on work sheets. I became very close with some of the students and gained a very inspiring role in the classroom. I can say it was without a doubt a very eye opening experience. I am very comfortable working with children of all ages. I have been complimented in babysitting jobs of my calm sense of structure with the children and in the school classrooms I had been told I seem like a natural. I can stay calm and soothing while still keeping my authoritative role. I am willing to help with housework, along with caring for the children, and any pets.
