Dear Family, My name is marianne and I'd like to share a little about myself. I recently finished working in Oakville where I was a nanny for 2 sets of wonderful twin boys. I worked from Sept 2010 to Dec 2011. One set just turned 3yrs and the other will be turing 2. I was a mothers helper for the first year while she was on Mat leave but near the end had both set alone and every day after that. I provided all normal childcare duties as well as domestic duties during nap time. In 2009 I spent 7 months in Europe where I was an English kindergarten teacher in my husbands home, Budapest Hungary. I was responsible to all course planning, teaching, report cards and progress reports. We went on class trips with the school,parent teacher meeting and school performances. Oct 2007 I was working a 5 month nanny contact (in Calgary, Alberta) and also worked part time for another family here for an extra month I have has many different kinds of work experiences. I've worked over 2 1/2 years for a great family from Oakville, who are currently in Toronto. They have twin boys and another older son. I relocate to Calgary since the twins have started daycare/ school and was on a 5 month position with a great family here till early March. I spent 2 1/2 years working with different familys in Toronto. Most were short term positions. Also some weekends here and there. I love to stay in contact with the children. I have been a nanny for twin girls, Sabrina and Allison from 1998 to 2005. They have an older brother named Dane. I was responsible for them on a full time bases. I completed everyday tasks, maintained a safe environment for the children. Accompanied the family on holiday trips, took the children to a variety of activites and places, picked the children up from school and them with excellent care, while working and when I was off. I have co-oped at a Day Care and at a Nursery School. I helped prepare snaks and distributed lunch. Played with the children during free time and outdoor play. Assisted with circle time, occasionally planned activites and crafts, went on field trips with the children and prepared cotes and supervised the children during nap time. I have been a mothers helper, looking after the newborn during the nights. I work up for nightly feedings and changes. I helped with house hold duties,prepared meals and played with the children during the day. My volunteer Experience: Riding program: I assisted children with special needs to horse back ride. Supervised the children and prepared them for their turns. I went to Haiti and was a childcare provider at an orphanage down there. I brought down a variety of clothing and medical supplies. Planned activites geared to the childrens ages, supervised and provided support to the children. I also did a number of bottle feedings and diaper changes. The orphange had around 76 children it in. The children didn't really have a set program to follow, they were just left to do what they wanted. I have worked with a child, Trevor who was artistic. I worked with a Chrisitian Ministry , again in Haiti. I was a Nanny and an English teacher. I went down to volunteer my services at and baby house run by friends of mine. I planned activities and supervised the children. Helped prepare lunch and infant bottles, taught the older children to speak English and prepared them for adoption/ travel to the United States. I was adopted myself and love going back to Haiti when I can and helping the children who have so little down there. For Education, I have completed grade 12 and have taken a year in College studying Early Childhood Education. I finished my E.C.E. in a sceond school. For my interests, I love volunteering my services to orphans in Haiti. I have my Early Childhood Education and I'm Interested completing the Social Work programs and taking spanish lessons.
