I've worked with children since I was in my early teens. I started with babysitting and had such a great time that I got a job working at an afterschool program for elementary school aged children. I worked at the after school center all through highschool. When I finished high school I nannied a child (5 years old) when his parents were at work over the summer. I made him breakfast, took him out during the day and put him to bed. We had fun but I also worked on his reading skills and basic math skills with him. He also had a speech impediment and we worked on correcting his speech patterns as well.
