I did respite care overnight for a 3 year old girl named Shira. She has SMA Type 1. I would monitor her oxygen levels and shift her position to prevent discomfort, as well as feeding her through a feeding tube and changing her diaper when necessary.

Being a nanny has brought much happiness and contentment to my life , working with children and watching them grow and flourish in the world is incredibly rewarding.
My preference is for a long term position , the bonding and stability this brings to the child or children is also very important. I always insist on honest and up front communication with the parents and on - going feedback on both parts , this establishes the most positive working environment.
I have worked in private homes as a live - out caregiver for more than 15 years , supporting and fulfilling the mental , physical , and emotional needs of the children I care for , which have ranged in age from 5 months old to 14 years of age. Organizing and transporting them to different social activities , events and play dates , I like to establish a healthy , positive and active routine for the children I care for. I believe that healthy eating habits and daily physical activity are very important life skills to learn when young.
